"Blossom is a wonderful coach. She was very patient and caring with me. She has the ability to get to the root and bring your awareness to that space.."

Kristen B.

Are you tired of living with stressors and triggers that seem impossible to resolve? Gestalt therapy can help. This unique and transformative approach is unlike anything you've experienced before. I'll guide you on a journey of self-discovery and emotional healing through open-ended questions and experiential work. You'll gain greater self-awareness and learn to find your own solutions, leading to a peaceful and joyful life of ease.
In my Gestalt therapy sessions there are two coaches, one human and one equine. The horse is an innate healer, living in the present moment and helping to raise your vibrations and balance your energy. You'll feel the transformation from pain or suffering to empowerment and wholeness. Our approach is co-active, meaning that you, and I, and the horse work together to create experiences that help you connect with your heart, mind, and spirit.
My practice is founded on the principles of the Touched by a Horse® program, which has been helping people heal and grow for over 15 years. It was founded by Melisa Pearce, coach and psychotherapist with over 35 years of experience and is also a highly accredited horsewoman. With graduates all over the world, this program has a proven track record of success.
Take the first step towards healing and growth by learning more about Gestalt therapy or signing up for a session with me. I look forward to assisting you on your journey towards a more fulfilling life.
About me
I am a Licensed Equine Facilitator and a Certified Equine Gestalt Coach. My passion is assisting others through Gestalt Coaching and partnering with horses. I value assisting others in using my experience and trauma-informed training to guide them on their unique path to living a balanced life, fueled by their desires and visions. I had to work through my own unfinished business in this program so I would be able to assist others through theirs. I bring insight, compassion and empathy to my clients. I have been gifted with many opportunities and challenges to find the most positive path towards health and healing.
As an Equine Facilitator I give workshops and hold events that businesses and families and nonprofits can engage in, to provide play days for their staff. (See Services)
I am a Trained Gestaltists from the Equine Gestalt Coaching Method® graduating from the 2-year program. My practice is the Missoula and Bitterroot areas which I love.
One of my specialties is working with caretakers who have family members that have special needs. Whether it is the parent or siblings or extended family members; everyone needs to learn how to take care of themselves first; so they are able to help another. I’ve learned firsthand how important it is. I want to assist others who are finding it difficult to do so.
As a certified Equine Facilitator. I host all day or half day events for Businesses, Families and Nonprofits. See the (services tab) for more on this.

Common Questions
How is this therapy different from Psychotherapy?
The Equine Gestalt method is non-diagnostic. It is an interactive experience where the horses are coaches too. The underlying strength is that the answers we seek are within each of us and we all possess the ability to heal and thrive. As coaches we assist in the healing process with curiosity, compassion and humor. It is a safe and sacred space to unravel the knots that are keeping you from feeling free. Free to be authentically you!
What do I wear?
Please wear some casual “play” clothes you won’t mind getting dirty. Depending on the time of year, weather can change quickly, so having layers on-hand is suggested. Closed-toed shoes are required, and boots are best.
Where is this done?
Typically this is done in a horse facility here in the Missoula area or up the Bitterroot. As we explore your specific needs we’ll decide on the location and the horse that is the best fit for your experience.
Do I need to have experience working with horses?
No horse experience is required. The horse isn’t ridden, it’s a coach! Our horses have been carefully selected to ensure the safety of our visitors. All initial sessions, workshops & events include an important safety review and demonstration.
Where does the EQUINE GESTALT COACHING METHOD® come from?
This specific Equine Gestalt Coaching Method® was developed by Melisa Pearce, a core founder of Touched by a Horse® based in Colorado. It is internationally known for the graduates of Equine Gestalt coaches and Equine Facilitation Providers. Developed over the last 35 years, this program started in 2006.

Individual Coaching Programs
• Individual coaching in a 90 minute horse participation session.
• Individual coaching in a 90 minute session without horse interaction.
• Individual coaching in a 45 minute Zoom session.
Group Coaching Programs
• Group Coaching designed for 8-10 people sharing their experiences in conjunction with horses. This is typically an ongoing program meeting bimonthly.
This type of program is offered to groups of people who already know each other and are looking to share more deeply and meaningfully together. Examples are woman’s groups/men’s groups.
Team Leadership Programs
• All day team event, fully facilitated with lunch at a local horse facility
• Half day team event, fully facilitated at a local horse facility
In this program, time is spent with the clients playing games that build trust and communication skills while each person interacts with the horse. There are mindfulness exercises that enable each person to become more aware of their hearts and how to easily express themselves.
Family Building Programs
• All day Family event, fully facilitated with lunch at a local horse facility
• Half day Family event, fully facilitated at a local horse facility
In this program, a family comes together to enjoy an adventure and discover more about themselves and time is spent with the ones you love. The horse is a companion throughout the exercises. It is a fun way to experience better communication and feeling closer and more connected. This program is excellently suited for families that:
• Have parents who want to feel closer and know more about their teenager or older child.
• For families who are going through life change like having a child moving away or going to a school out of state.
• For families who are experiencing extra care challenges like having an Autistic or Downs Syndrome child or other high-care situations.
Events
The 2024 Event Calendar is expected out by April 30th. Please let me know and I’ll put you on the email list for Demo opportunities and upcoming events.
